International guest speaker: Professor Anthony Pym Universitat Rovira i Virgili, Tarragona, Spain
CALL FOR PAPERS
We are now calling for abstracts to be considered as a 30 minute paper or 1 to 2 hour workshop.
We are seeking presentations based on results of original research on any aspect of language technology and the future of translation. Papers based on practice will also be considered. Some of the suggested topics for the symposium are (this list is not exhaustive):
Translation Memory Tools Localisation and Internationalisation Machine Translation Web-based Collaboration Audiovisual Translation Speech and audio processing E-Learning and I&T Training Research Analytical Tools
Please submit your 250 word abstract to the Interpreting and Translation Research Group at http://www.uws.edu.au/itrg-symposium by Friday 14 May 2010.
The Symposium will be of interest to I&T researchers, educators (TAFE and universities), language service providers and practitioners. We look forward to receiving your abstracts.
